Currently Loving Products #4 featuring ABH, The Ordinary, Hourglass and more...

It's been far too long since I've published one of these, as the Summer proved I was enjoying way too many products to be able to fit them all in a one post. Now Autumns here, and things have calmed down a little, here are my latest loves that have made an impact this season.

It took me a while to get on board with this, but now I have it it's pushed my other palettes to one side. This has fast become one of my all time favourite palettes ever because its formula really does embrace age. The formula is one of the best I've tried, and is up there along with my Urban Decay palettes and the Tartelette Palette by Tarte. Nothing else I have comes close. The colours are to die for and even if they look a little bright, this is actually a very versatile palette to wear and can be enjoyed no matter what the season is.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eye shadow Palette

Zoeva Tapered Crease Brush - £9.00

During the Summer, I became increasingly frustrated with my crease application as it just wasn't happening. Due to age, my skin between the lid and brow is becoming more hooded by the day, and when skin starts to sag, shadows become more difficult to control due to increased movement of the skin. This resulted in shadows in looking less polished and giving that skipping look. I couldn't produce that nice winged-out shape with my standard brushes either, and the last thing I wanted to be doing is to start pulling and tugging around this delicate area just so they applied better.
I switched to using a more tapered design which has really helped - especially the Zoeva 228. It really is a superb shadow brush. The bristles are so soft and blends out shadows beautifully!

Eye Makeup Products feat...Paradise Mascara, Skinny liner, Zoeva 231 Brush

Maybelline Master Precise Skinny Liner in Black - £4.99

I grabbed this after hearing Emily Noel rave about this on her YouTube channel, and she was right. The super skinny design is excellent for tight lining and for lining above the upper lash line - especially for eyes that don't share much lid space. After setting with powder this doesn't move.

I'm left a bit concerned that I no longer see it on the Superdrug website. Please don't tell me they've discontinued it already! It's only just arrived!

L'OrĂ©al Paradise Extatic Mascaras - from £10.99

Don't get me wrong. I still love their False Lash Sculpt and the Telescopic.

However, the Paradise Extatic is another one I've been enjoying. This one comes with a wand that looks exactly like Too Faced's Better Than Sex mascara (terrible name!). Now I actually hated the Too Faced one as I didn't think it was all that for the money. Plus, it smudged heavily on me too!

But I find this way better than The Too Faced one because it gives me big fanned out lashes that hold all day curl, whereas the Too Faced one just didn't excite me in the slightest. The only issue I have is that it smudges when used on the bottom lash but I'm so use to going without mascaras on the bottom lash anyway so that doesn't bother me.

But I have a question...why is it called Lash Paradise in the States and Paradise Extatic here?
They always give different names. It's the same with eyeshadows. Maybelline is a nightmare for this too! Plus, the packaging from Lash Paradise looks so similar to the Too Faced one.

Daniel Sandler Watercolour Blushers in the shades Cherub & Rose Glow

These are probably the most idiot-proof blushers I've ever used. These watercolour blushers from celebrity makeup artist, Daniel Sandler have been out for a long while, and it pains me to think why I haven't tried these sooner (I have liners of his that I also love). I suppose it's due to the fact I have a very large blusher collection already and felt I really shouldn't be adding any more.

Well, it looks as though they've achieved a deserving spot on the dressing table as they provide this gorgeous  flush of colour in a much more flattering way - especially for us older girls. I have the shades Cherub which is a warm pink with a matte finish, and Rose Glow which gives a more glow-ier pink-y/peach. Both give a very fresh and youthful appearance on the skin.

The formula is very build-able and provides seamless colour that lasts all day.You only really need the tiniest amount when applying, and I use a RT setting brush for control so I don't end up like Aunt Sally, lol. Previous to this, I was eyeing up Cloud Paint by Glossier, but with only four shades to choose from, I think I'll go with the make-up artist's choice instead.

Shadow Switch

Shadow Switch Tool  - £5.99 - full review

I initially got this all because I loved that Zoeva brush! It's a fabulous little tool that every makeup user needs, as you can apply different coloured shadows without having to change brushes. I've now discovered you can get cheaper versions for as little as £2 on Ebay. Trust me -you'll need one of these!

The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution

I purposely ran down my other products so I could enjoy a nice little haul during my visit to the Deciem Store, Covent Garden. This was another one I picked up after hearing so many good reviews. This peeling solution contains AHAs and BHA to provide a much deeper exfoliation for the removal of dead skin cells.
This has pretty much become the beginning of everything when it comes to putting anything on my face because everything applies so much smoother now, including my makeup, and am also reaping the benefits of my other skincare products too.

Tarte Shape Tape

This has become my favourite concealer because it keeps a mark that I have under my eye area covered all day. Every other concealer I've tried does cover it, but the coverage fades throughout the day resulting in this mark seeping through looking like a mascara smudge. I find this concealer also smooths out the area brilliantly without ever emphasising my wrinkles and causing dryness (my skin is quite normal under there). Unfortunately, it does crease a little which is something I just can't seem to avoid when it comes to concealers. The only other thing, (and this one really bugs me,) is that you have to purchase this with a sponge when buying in the UK. This is really off-putting as it really bumps up the price. Soon I'm gonna need a lighter shade to see me through the Winter months so may need to look elsewhere.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer

This stunning bronzer has helped keep the glow of Summer rocking 'on that bit longer. The formula is smooth, silky and very finely milled which makes this very easy to apply. Despite sharing a love matt formulas, at times I find they can look very flat on me. So this one's great for giving me a very subtle healthy glow.

Revlon Ultra HD Gel Lip Colour

Revlon Ultra HD Gel Lip Colour  in Desert & Sand - £7.99

These lipsticks are so, so lovely! I've loved them so much I've nearly finished this one in the shade Desert. I've worn this shade nearly all Summer and have continued to do so during this season too. The formulas are so nice and glide on effortlessly due to the balmy texture which makes these very
comfortable and wearable on the lips. They give a nice amount of shine without being overly glossy and despite being very moisturising, the pigmentation isn't compromised like balm formulas generally are. I recently picked up another one in the shade Sand which is a nude but a bit bland if I'm honest; so I plan on picking up some deeper tones instead.
