Autumn Eyeshadow Picks!

Eyeshadow Palettes that will provide Autumnal shades

Well it's that time again! New season meaning new colours to switch things up a little. Whilst I'm generally a wearer of all shades no matter what time of the year, they'll always be some that I'll gravitate towards more than others. These are some of my Autumnal picks that I'll be reaching for this season. A couple are some old favourites and some are fairly new.

Nocturnal Cat Eyes to Hypnotise in the shades Silver Leopard and On The Prowl - review

I was so thrilled when I discovered that Charlotte Tilbury had recently brought these back online but at the same time was a tad disappointed that they didn't come with the liners like these originally did during last year's Black Friday deal. Silver Leopard is a glittering Gunmetal Grey and On the Prowl is a more purple-y Taupe.

After all the craziness and creativeness that's been happening involving warm palettes, sometimes you just want to settle down and keep things simple; and these singletons from Charlotte Tilbury do just the that. Simple, yes, in a sense that they give a sultry and seductive feel with such minimum effort. After purchasing these, I soon realised why shadows from CT were so popular because once on the eye these really do give a much more grown-up and expensive feel.

These luminous based formulas really are a different class, and it's times like these when you realise that good shadows don't always have to be about depth of foils and shimmers. I love how the glitter is very subtle in natural daylight but comes to life in the evening under artificial light. The pairing of the liner and shadow combined do make these exactly that... hypnotising!  And I've received many compliments when wearing these beautiful pairings. Despite being marketed for evening wear... well, you know me! Make-up is to be enjoyed and explored, not ignored.

Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Palette in Comfort Zone
seen on AmazonUK for as little as £4.00 - review

It maybe an oldies but it's a goodie! Comfort Zone is a fab little palette from drugstore brand Wet n Wild which supplies that much-needed Green for this time if year. The formula is super smooth and buttery and mega pigmented so much so, it gives some of the higher-end formulas a run for their money!

Mac Times Nine Eyeshadow Palette in Burgundy - £ 25.00   - full review it's an oldie.

Some of Mac's Times Nine formulations have come into some criticism in recent years, and I'm not sure why, whether they're no longer the same as the originals, I'm not sure; but this one still leaves me mesmerised with its combination of Amber and Cranberry tones that come in various finishes. I really should dig this out more.

Some of Mac's all time greats are featured here including Star Violet, Sketch, Honey Lust, (which looks amazing paired with the burgundys) Antiqued and Embarked. Some of the paler mattes aren't super pigmented as you'd expect when swatched, but you and I know all too well that pigmented shadows don't necessarily mean they'll blend well, do they? It really is a beautiful little palette and I really must look into getting the Grey version.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette - £41.00  - full review

Last but not least. The palette that stole my heart during this Summer, and no doubt will continue to do so during the Autumn season. And yes - it is worth the hype! I don't there is a lot to be said about this one...is there?
