Sukin Revitalising Facial Scrub

Sukin was a brand I hadn't taken much notice of despite seeing the odd item pop up in TK Maxx stores. But it wasn't until they began cropping up all over Instagram and then soon after their release in Boots that I became intrigued and decided to try one their products.

Brought to us from down under, Sukin has fast become Australia's No1 organic natural skin care brand after identifying there was a gap in the market for high efficiently and environmentally sustainable products that needn't cost the earth; - covering hair, face and body that can be enjoyed by all regardless of age. These products contain only naturally derived ingredients, so there are no nasties, no parabens and no suphates. They are also vegan-friendly and cruelty-free. Their main website contains  the listings and details of all the ingredients that are featured in their products. I have enclosed a link should you wish to find out more.

Sukin Revitalising Facial Scrub

Despite sharing much-love for the chemical peel and glycolic toners, call me old school but I don't feel quite ready to say "cheerio" to the physical scrub just yet and still like to have the odd one roaming around at hand for those weekly de-flake treatments. That grainy-feel that a facial scrub gives is something I find quite satisfying, despite knowing the long-term efficiency isn't quite the same as our chemical partners. However, the Revitalising Facial Scrub from Sukin slots in nicely as I didn't want anything too harsh or anything resembling to a microdermabrasion formula to work in harmony for an in between treatment.

It's a gentle but very effective exfoliator that contains micro particles of bamboo extract and ground walnut shells to help clean and remove any impurities whilst de-buffing the skin, to reveal a more softer, smoother radiant complexion. It also contains other skin caring ingredients such as Aloe Vera, Chamomile and Rose Hip to help soothe the skin as it cleanses and de-flakes, whilst  Jojoba and Sesame seed oil have been added to help hydrate the skin and leave it radiant looking. Some of the reviews I've read say they even love to use this everyday although on my skin, that may be a tad too much!

The fresh, woody scent from the natural ingredients although subtle, is just divine, and is  how I imagined a holiday spa far away in the tropics would smell like.  I actually wish this was stronger and also feel this would be an ideal scent to have in a body cream - yes please!

In the past, I've experienced gentle formulas that have shared nothing but mainly cream and hardly any grains to do the job efficiently. This isn't one of those despite  my initial impression fearing history would be repeating itself. I was pleasantly surprised how gloriously smooth and soft my skin felt afterwards with no signs of irritation or redness. I've read several reviews with regards to sensitive skin sufferers saying that their skin wasn't effected by any of the ingredients listed, although my advice would be to check first just in case.
